looking for some super laid-back, m e l l o w dead show suggestions that meet, or come close to meeting, the following criteria...

1. the up-beat tunes are even played at a slower pace
2. the entire band appears to be on the same stuff as Keith
3. long, seemingly never-ending jamming(obvious)
4. great sound relative to the year(72 thru 77 is preferred)
5. the type of show one would enjoy listening to on a rainy sunday morning with a newspaper and cup of coffee and while the wife is still in bed

Numbered in no particular order or maybe #5 should be #1 if I had to choose

thanks in advance for your input!

I'd look to 73-74. I can't remember the number off hand, but the Dick's Picks from Boston, Nov. of 73, sounds like it would meet this criteria. The London run in Sept. of 74 is good, The PNE in Vancouver on 6.23.73 is amazing. You know, even the Fall of '79 can be a tad laid back and very well jammed (not as laid back as the 73-74 stuff though, I feel). See what you think. Good luck

check out 3/14/82. It opens with a cool Sat. Nite; but it has a very mellow vibe throughout.

Also 10/22/78 set I. Mellowwwwww

Also 2.24.74 disc 4 goes well with a chocalaty medium dark roast Guatemalan and 9.18.74 disc 1 is nice with a mellow low acid Sumatran. Your wife may decide to join you.
